OPERA SENSATION CARLY PAOLI BECOMES BEDAT & Co ‘MEZZO SOPRANO IN RESIDENCE’
SWISS luxury timepiece brand Bedat & Co. is delighted to announce that it has appointed British Mezzo Soprano Carly Paoli, as a brand Ambassador.
Classically-trained Miss Paoli, 25, who has performed for the Royal families of Monaco and Malaysia, joins an inspiring line-up of ambassadors including Dutch Supermodel & US Reality TV Star, Yolanda Foster and sculpture artist, Eleanor Cardozo, celebrated for her monumental Gymnasts Sculptures commissioned for The 2012 London Olympics.
Speaking of her appointment Carly said: “I am honoured to have been chosen to represent a brand as prestigious as Bedat & Co.
“It is an iconic brand founded by a woman, for women and brings with it a rich heritage and history.
“It is a great privilege to sit alongside other brand Ambassadors who have achieved so much in their respective fields and who through their work, reflect the ideals of the Bedat & Co. brand.”
As part of her Ambassadorial role Carly will appear at a series of exclusive Bedat & Co. events starting with a performance alongside 16-time Grammy-award winner David Foster in Calgary, Canada, on September 27th 2014.
It will be followed by a performance at The International Women Media Foundation (IWMF) Courage in Journalism Awards on October 28th 2014 hosted by Actress Olivia Wilde and Glamour magazine Editor in chief Cindi Leive. This important event marks the beginning of a long term partnership between IWMF and Bedat & Co. Geneve.
These efforts follow our initiatives in 2013 where Bedat & Co. saw the foundation of a number of important relationships that epitomize the spirit of Madame Simone Bedat. Bedat & Co. Geneva acknowledges the role and importance of women in modern society through its sponsorship of ‘female-oriented and focused’ organizations including Hollywood’s Women’s Image Network Awards (WIN) and Geneva’s very own ‘Womanity’, an international organization supporting women’s causes in some of the world’s most challenging countries.
Luxury timepiece craftsmen Bedat & Co. was founded by Madame Simone Bedat, a leading figure in the Swiss watch industry. After more than 50 years working at the pinnacle of the luxury watch market, Madame Bedat founded the world’s first timepiece brand catering specifically for women.
The move broke the mould - until then no watch brand had specialised in the women’s market alone - and Madame Bedat wanted to use the brand to honour and celebrate the contribution and achievements of women in society.
It is that aim which underpins the Bedat & Co Ambassador programme today.
Madame Bedat believed functionality and beauty weren’t mutually exclusive and the appointment of Carly Paoli as a brand Ambassador and ‘Mezzo Soprano in Residence’ is an embodiment of that philosophy.
It is a belief that is further echoed by Bedat & Co.’s beautiful handcrafted timepieces.
Miss Paoli’s work with Bedat & Co. follows a monumental rise for the young singer, who trained at the UK’s prestigious Royal Northern College of Music.
She has already performed for audiences across Europe at world-renowned venues including The Royal Albert Hall, St Paul’s Cathedral, on board The Orient Express and The Lecce Opera Theatre in Italy.
